 Athletes and spectators can choose from numerous hotels situated in the centre of Lausanne or by the lake. It takes 5 to 15 minutes at the most to get to the town centre from any of these establishments. With 40 hotels and a capacity of 2,400 rooms / 5,000 beds for the town alone, Lausanne is able to offer comfortable accommodation with the personal touch. The City of Lausanne can also provide additional types of accommodation at low prices: civil defence shelters, schools, campsites (south and north of the town).The City of Lausanne has a well-established structure of sports facilities and swimming pools.
